Jovanni Alba's Video-
In the video I saw a compilation of skateboarding shots/clips. Overall I would say Jovanni had an understanding of what the concept of the video was. One strength he showed was the Shot Selections. The second strength was the good choice of jump cuts. One last strength would have to be the smoothness while tracking. As far as the weaknesses go, there weren't many errors that were easily visible. One weakness was the fact that there was more than one occasion throughout the video where there were words on the screen. I would say next time use less words or don't use any if they aren't necessary. Another weakness would have to be the zooming in. I believe the person/people shooting should not zoom in that much since half the body is cut out. One last weakness is the repetition in shots/angles. There too many shots through the same angle.
Bryan Bejarano's Video-
In the video I saw a compilation of Cross Country practice, clips/shots. I believe the editing of the video was not bad, what was bad was the actual clips themselves. One strength is the piecing together of the clips or the editing. This student showed he understood which clip went first, second, and so on. Another strength was the use of cut-away shots at the right times. Another strength is the angles used for the clips. By this I mean that the spots where the cameras/tripods were placed were creative. The issues in my opinion were in the clips themselves and not the editing. One main weakness was the tracking in the clips. It looked as if the student had trouble moving the camera on the tripod from right to left. Another weakness is once again the zoom issue. This student zoomed in so much that only part of the body is seen. One last weakness is that there are too many unnecessary shots such as the various tree shots.
